About Volunteering
Here at Trinity Care Foundation Uganda, we appreciate any help you can offer. We are flexible and can work and communicate with you to arrange your service. If you are travelling and can only volunteer for a couple of ours, to if you want to stay with us for two whole weeks, we will try to accommodate for you.
Your Responsibilities
As a volunteer, your responsibilities will change based on the project you decide to work on, but, there are some things you should keep in mind about your time here.
Religion: Trinity Care Foundation Uganda is a Christian organization. While you, yourself do not have to be Christian, or support Christianity, to volunteer here, please keep Trinity Care Foundation Uganda's religious believes in mind.
Culture: In Uganda, the culture here may be very different than you are used to. Please keep and open mind and do some research before-hand on the norms here in Uganda.

Volunteer Costs
$70.00 USD
Weekly Cost, Per Volunteer
This covers transportation, communication and in-country support.
Volunteers can stay for up to 2 weeks.

Accommodation
Volunteers have the option to rent a room from Trinity Care Foundation.
We have 8 different dormitory rooms, with 3 double bunk beds in each. Our accommodation is very cheap, costing $12 USD per person, per night. Our Accommodation includes:

- Bedding
- Tea and coffee until 10am
- Mozi coils (mosquito repellent)
- Veranda overlooking pool and bar area
- 18% VAT

Location
Trinity Care Foundation is located in the Eastern region of Uganda, in the Jinja province. This is a very rural area, much different from the city or suburb feel you might be used to!
Jinja has a very tropical climate, and a long wet season, and short dry season. It can be very hot here, and rainy too. |
What to Bring
If you have the space or ability to bring extra items, Trinity Care Foundation is always in need of extra essential supplies, specifically:
As for personal items, try to pack for a hot, tropical climate. Make sure that you also bring:
- Scholastic materials (pens, pencils, paper, ect.)
- Sanitary pads/ menstrual supplies
- Clothes
- Bedding (mattresses, blankets and bed sheets.)
- Seeds and breeds
- Sewing supplies (machines, textile, fabric, ect.)
- Computers/ laptops for holidays learnings.
- Food for the orphaned and elderly.
As for personal items, try to pack for a hot, tropical climate. Make sure that you also bring:
- Sunscreen
- Sun hat
- Bug repellent
- Good walking/ hiking shoes
